Team
Wes Schrader
Managing Partner
Mr. Schrader is a co-founder and Managing Partner of WaveRider Partners. He brings over 25 years of experience building companies, leading teams, and arranging capital. In addition to WaveRider, he is the acting CEO of Columbine Corporation where he has been instrumental in improving the company’s culture, enhancing its processes and systems, and positioning the company for growth. Previously, Mr. Schrader formed the strategy for a combined private equity fund and operating company to acquire oil and gas assets, and before that led strategic planning and business development for a portfolio company a large private equity firm.
Mr. Schrader has developed a unique breadth of skills in strategy, finance, and business development through managing projects, teams, and processes to successful conclusions and has held a variety of roles including public company board member, CEO, private equity fund formation, investment banker, president of an industry changing financial services startup, associate of an acquisition search fund, and designer of microchips.
Mr. Schrader holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University and both an MBA and Masters in Finance from the University of Denver graduating with highest distinction. He is an avid golfer and skier and enjoys traveling internationally.
